When did Debi Dixon start her music career?
Age 17, when I sang with the late Timothy Wright and The Concert Choir.
What is your genre of expertise?
Inspirational gospel with jazz improvisation
Who inspires you?
Classic legends, to name a few; Kristle Murden, the late Andrea Crouch, Edwin and
Walter Hawkins, Roberta Flack, Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughn. I am also inspired by my
parents and upbringing, my family and my children.
How do you maintain such a strong singing voice?
It’s a gift from God and it’s by his grace and love. I also do vocal exercises and maintain
vocal pedagogy (health care specifically for your voice. Recommendations include
hydration, rest, diet (nondairy foods/drinks, decaffeinated foods/drinks).
What is EGM?
Ecclesia Global Ministries; EGM is the vehicle that God has given me as an answer to the
call for whatever assignment He has called me to do. This ministry helps me fulfill my
purpose on earth for God to get the glory.
